JACKIE BERRIDGE
My work explores human behavior in particular group dynamics and social isolation. Using imaginary landscapes and anthropomorphic beings I create a theatre where human characteristics are exposed.
The playground is a source of inspiration especially as games and tribal loyalty often provide a framework for exploring human nature. Further inspiration includes ‘A Midsummer Night's Dream’ which offers insight into the complexity of human behaviour where trickery, deception, humour and mischievousness and can be observed.
